WHAT DOES WOMEN HISTORY MONTH MEAN TO YOU? We American women have the freedom to pursue an education, to have a career, to vote -- in short, the ability to choose our own paths in life. There will always be room for improvement, but for the most part, I feel that we sometimes forget how good we have it compared to women in other countries. Women's History Month is a chance to stop and appreciate that, and to honor the women who got us where we are.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WORKING AT JSC? This is my dream job, not only because I am now part of the space program, but also because of the creative, smart and hilarious team I work with. My coworkers make coming to work every day an absolute joy.
TELL US ONE UNIQUE THING ABOUT YOURSELF. I used to coach a synchronized swimming team. Whenever the summer Olympics roll around, I find myself defending and explaining the sport to anyone who'll listen!

WHAT DOES WOMEN HISTORY MONTH OBSERVANCE MEAN TO YOU? It's a time to reflect on significant contributions from women who have come before me. Deserving of special recognition this month is my dearly missed sorority sister, Coretta Scott King, who was an advocate of peace and justice.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WORKING AT JSC? I enjoy working with the crew to develop hardware to their specific requirements, seeing the hardware fly and then receiving their feedback on it. It's a pretty rewarding experience when the crew acknowledges your hard work!
TELL US ONE UNIQUE THING ABOUT YOURSELF. I have had the distinct pleasure to travel abroad to Cairo, Egypt! One of the most heartwarming experiences while there was when a young girl, unprompted by her parents, approached me in a mosque and said ''peace be with you'' with the sincerity and the maturity of an old wise man. She truly touched my soul.
