Johnson Space Center employees were honored for their outstanding work at the 2004 JSC Director’s Commendation and Innovation Award Ceremony on Jan. 20 in the Teague Auditorium.

As JSC's highest honor award, the Director’s Commendation recognizes JSC civil servants whose contributions are so significant they deserve exceptional acknowledgement by the Center.

The newly created Director's Innovation Award recognizes JSC civil servants and contractors for their initiation of positive and revolutionary changes in business practices, science, technology, engineering, medicine and education within the Center, across the Agency and throughout the world.

“We’re here to recognize you for doing wonderful things -- even more wonderful than usual,” said Center Director Jefferson D. Howell, Jr. “I think we all realize that, for every one of you getting a commendation, there are a lot of people who helped you achieve that. So ‘thank you’ to all the team members and families who supported these individuals.”
